In the region, flour mills were built as early as the colonial period, while wheat cultivation was spreading. Flour was the basis of a prosperous industry until the beginning of the 20th century. A tour to Villa allows you to visit three of these mills: the Sardiña mill, made of adobe, whose original structure can still be seen and which has been in operation again for a little more than a decade; the Pérez mill, with its interesting architecture; and the Reyes mill, which is in full operation, with its beautiful patio and algarrobo wood pieces.
