Travel Guide Thandwe

This town is not very interesting, but there is a good chance that you will pass through it on your way to the beaches of Ngapali. And for good reason, it's only a few miles north. There is a small typical market, still colourful, warm and tasty, as well as a few pagodas from which you can enjoy the view of the green area bordering the Bay of Bengal. Most of the time you will arrive here by plane to reach Ngapali. The plane, more expensive and less ecological, is still recommended because the road is very long, difficult to access and some areas crossed can sometimes be unstable. For these arrivals, all day long, pick-up trucks connect Thandwe to Ngapali in 45 minutes for 500 kyats. All buses departing from Ngapali also transit through Thandwe. A few hours of transit are therefore enough to discover Twande, but nothing that deserves more than a quick stop
