Not far from Pyay, about ten kilometres from the town centre, the archaeological remains of a city that was once a capital with Indian influences stand, as best they can. In the 10th century, it was part of the Pyus kingdoms. Knowing that there is no real road to get to the site of the ancient site of Sri Ksetra, it is better to be driven there by a regular... to be sure to get there! Then, the company of a local guide always allows to survey the place more easily. Beware! It is useless to venture there by bicycle during the rainy season, some paths suddenly become impassable for two-wheeled vehicles. Only the oxcart can then brave the rivers and go up the sunken paths. However, this is not our responsibility. In Sanskrit, Sri Ksetra means "City of Splendour". A journey full of authenticity!
