OLLEROS-CHAVÍN TREK

Jump in a combi to Olleros. From there, walk up the valley to 4000 m (about 5 hours walk) to set up the first camp. The next day, continue the ascent of the valley to pass a pass at 4700 m, and set up your bivouac at 4400 m. The day after, continue the descent of the valley to Chavin. This is the most beautiful passage. You can observe the change of vegetation as you go down, as well as the evolution of human living conditions as you go up. It can also be done in the other direction.
