Walking tour in the salt marshes outside the village in the direction of Vila Real de Santo Antonio. This is an opportunity to discover a typical and artisanal activity of this region. About 50 people work in the production of salt in Castro Marim. During the months of June and July, we can observe the activity of the men who harvest the white gold and who erect beautiful pyramids. The fleur de sel from this corner of the Algarve is renowned throughout the country and even beyond its borders for its quality and finesse, and is a welcome addition to any table.
