A house where you can discover the life and work of Doctor Schweitzer, through archival objects and interactive spaces

Albert Schweitzer had this beautiful house built in 1929 with money from the Goethe Prize awarded to him by the city of Frankfurt. The first floor is dedicated to his childhood in Gunsbach, his love of music, and his studies of theology and philosophy. The basement is dedicated to Lambaréné in Gabon, where Albert Schweitzer opened his hospital in 1913. The scenography features multiple video projections. In addition, an area is dedicated to educational workshops for young and old alike.

Very nice exhibition showing the live and the achievements of Albert Schweitzer and his wife. It is more about the story telling than on original exhibits. Well done!
