CUMBERLAND FALLS

Cumberland Falls is located in Cumberland Falls State Park, south of Daniel Boone Forest. Also called Niagara from the South, it is more the environment in which they find themselves than their dimensions that make them popular. They are only 21 metres high and 38 metres wide. However, they are very beautiful and there are many possibilities for hiking. On the evenings of full moon, the veil left by the suspended water droplets over the falls leaves a nocturnal rainbow, known as Moonbow. This is an exceptional phenomenon that attracts many curious people.

RED RIVER GORGE

Natural site to discover

Red River Gorge consists of a system of canyons of which the largest part is Daniel Boone National Forest inside. From its major geological interest, Red River Gorge also belongs to Red River Gorge Geological Area (120 mi). The area is home to more than 100 natural sandstone arches and the multitude of cliffs found there in make it a popular destination for climbing. In the immediate proximity, Kentucky Natural Bridge State Park highlights the star a natural bridge is 23 feet long and 20 ft high.
