Estero Historical Park with a 60-site campground, perfect for hiking enthusiasts
You can visit the original buildings of the Koreshan sect that founded the town. On the same site: Mound Key, a large village and sacred place of the Calusas Indians. Near the ranger station, it is possible to rent canoes, kayaks or paddle boards to paddle the Ester River. For hiking enthusiasts, there is the River Trail (700 meters) and the Blue Trail (12 km). The park around the Koreshan Historic Site also has a campground with 60 sites, some of which are located on the Estero River.
