The 1,200-metre-long J.K. Bridge, with its three white arches, is an emblematic landmark in the city of Brasília
Inaugurated in 2002, the 1,200-metre-long J.K. Bridge, with its three white arches evoking the movement of a stone gliding over water, is another of the city's emblematic buildings. Its side walkways allow pedestrians to stroll over Lake Paranoá, protected from cars. Architecturally, the monument is spectacular. The three arches, supported by steel cables, hold up the three 240-metre-wide decks.
