Over 40 years ago, in 1977, the Clube do Choro de Brasília was founded by musicians who used to meet at the home of French flutist Odette Ernest Dias. Brasília's modernity is not antithetical to the preservation of the country's traditional and popular music. The Clube do Choro is a musical mecca, mainly dedicated to choro, of course, but also dedicated to the dissemination of Brazilian music, and will not leave any traveling music lover indifferent. It is Brazil's oldest musical center of its kind.
