This curious place is home to a few massive and ancient juniper trees whose gnarled and tortured trunks have grown in a hellish wind blowing constantly from the northeast and down the slope to the sea. Their trunks are twisted, gnarled, and the leafy spines of the branches have been bent, bent towards the ground. A test of strength against the wind that lasted several centuries during which the tree reached a height of 4 or 5 m, some of them more than 8 m high. On this dry slope, you can also observe flocks of gambra partridges scattered in the grass as you pass: this bird was introduced to the Canary Islands for hunting.
