CITY OF ARNAY LE DUC
Arnay-le-Duc, principal town of canton of the same name which gathers 92 municipalities, lies at an minimum altitude of 328 m in the heart of Côte-d'Or. The small town of 1,652 Arnétois and Arnétoises (census published in 2013) looks after its tourist reception. Arnay-le-Duc has the label Station verte thanks to its leisure base, its fun courses on the local biodiversity, its heritage (the Saint-Laurent church in particular, which has just been completely renovated) and its museums. Arnay-le-Duc also has the labels of Ville d'art et d'histoire et Ville fleurie . The town offers many activities like the Nocturnes Estivales which animate the downtown on Thursdays evening in July and in August. Throughout the year, Arnay-le-Duc accommodates artistic exhibitions as well as gourmet exhibitions at la Maison régionale des Arts de la Table. In addition to the festival of July 14th at Fouché pond, the city is also the theater of several sporting events, in particular in bicycle touring with Claudio Chiappucci or the national cross of 11-November.
