This handsome building with its ochre walls and scalloped gable (Sinagoga u Doboju/Синагога у Добоју) was erected in 2003 on the site of the former synagogue (1874) destroyed in 1942. It houses a prayer hall, the Bejt Šalom cultural center and a music school. Of the six remaining Jewish communities in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Doboj is home to around 40 people. In the courtyard are the remains of the former synagogue and a plaque bearing the names of the 89 Doboj Jews murdered in 1941-1942. Location: between the castle and the museum.
