On a territory affected by the torments of the Second World War, remains the keep of Chambois. This remains of a defensive castle is one of the best preserved 12th century Anglo-Norman dungeons in France. Its original Romanesque architecture has been modified over time, notably with the addition of battlements and machicolations in the 15th century.
