Travel Guide Los Pedroches

About 30 minutes north of Córdoba, the sparsely populated municipalities of Valle del Guadiato and Los Pedroches offer nature (many olive groves and dehesas, beautiful pastures with holm oaks and some arid areas), pata negra ham with the denomination of origin Los Pedroches and a historical heritage. Especially the 15th century Castillo de los Sotomayor in Belalcázar and the Castillo de Miramontes in Santa Eufemia, from the Muslim era, both about a hundred kilometers north of Cordoba. Worthy of interest for small provincial walks in this Cordovan Sierra Morena, to be organized preferably in spring or autumn.
