Cistercian abbey at La Trappe, the only men's monastery in the Orne still in activity, with the possibility of retreats.
The only remaining men's monastery in the Orne region, only the outskirts of the monastery are accessible: an exhibition room presents the history of the site, and a store sells products from France's monasteries. Founded in 1122 by Count Rotrou III and rebuilt in the 19th century, the monastery became famous with Abbot de Rancé, who introduced the strict observance of the Cistercian order in the 17th century. Individual and group retreats are possible. Selected by the "Loto du patrimoine", work will take place from 2025 to 2029.
