Like Prince William, Mactaquac is a small community in York County. Located almost halfway between Prince William and Fredericton, on the banks of the St. John River, Mactaquac is a peaceful, natural haven with some of the most beautiful scenery in the province, featuring gentle slopes and valleys surrounding the river. Its provincial park is well worth the detour and allows you to stretch your legs whatever the season (swimming, aerial courses, hiking, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, etc.). Mactaquac is also home to a hydroelectric dam, which provides approximately 20% of the province's total energy demand.
