MEANDRE DE L'ORNE
A must-see for photography and nature lovers, the river flows from Aunou-sur-Orne to the Caen plain
Calling all photography and nature lovers! For 172 km, from its source at Aunou-sur-Orne to the Caen plain and Ouistreham, the Orne offers a spectacular diversity of meandering landscapes. At Saint-Philbert-sur-Orne, as it winds its way through the valleys of Norman Switzerland, the river curves through wet meadows. There are two ways to get there on foot or by bike: via the Surosne path at Pont des Vers, at the foot of the Viaduct, or, on the heights of Saint-Philbert, take the Costils path.
