LOCHT MUSEUM

De Locht is an open air museum located in a small village. This museum immerses us in the life in the country between 1850 and 1950. The sandy soil of Limburg makes it possible to grow asparagus. This vegetable, very appreciated by our ancestors, is harvested in May and June. The Asparagus Pavilion explains to the visitor how this strange vegetable grows and how it is harvested. The Mushroom pavilion focuses on the cultivation of mushrooms in the cellar. Many workshops are planned for children and their parents.
