Mining museum honoring the former workers, in the old Oranje mine, presenting the history of the mines of the South

Superb mining museum that pays tribute to the former workers and is located in the old mine of Oranje Nassau 1. The building takes us back to the fascinating and rich history of the mines in the South of the Netherlands. Two films are shown: one from the 1920s and the other from the 1960s. We discover the human and medical world of the mine with the doctor's room. The highlight of the show is the visit of the engine room with an incredible winding engine. We were charmed by this unique heritage and its beautiful architecture.
