The Martinikerk, a gothic church in Sneek with a beautiful organ and a single tower

The Martinikerk, named after Martin, the patron saint of the city, dates from the 15th century, and from this distant era, it has preserved a single tower whereas it once had three. The Gothic style church dates back to the 11th century. The beautiful 1711 organ was renovated in the 1980's and enjoys a solid reputation.the church has recently been renovated and especially enlarged and modernized. These projects are the work of the architectural firm Kijlstra-Brouwer.
