Fort located on the northern tip of the Mandovi river estuary, whose main fortifications are still intact

Located on the northern tip of the Mandovi River estuary, Fort Aguada was completed in 1612. The main fortifications are still intact and also extend to the south of Sinquerim beach. Seventy-nine cannons protected the estuary from invaders from the Arabian Sea. The lighthouse built in 1864, is the oldest in Asia. During the Second World War, the fort housed German prisoners. Below the cliff is the current prison of Aguada. Previously free, the entrance is now charged at a prohibitive rate.

C'est devenu un hôtel et un restaurant donc pas pu profiter de la visite.
Mais on peut entrer dans le retasurant pour regarder la vue la mer et la plage. j'ai vu des dauphins, magnifique.
pour prendre des photos, il faut être rapide et discret car le patron ne veut pas.
