Fountain that hides happily in the environmental greenery in Saint-Céneri-le-Gérei
During your visit to this charming "painters' village", bring your good shoes and take the side paths to the other steep bank of the Sarthe, opposite the chapel. This is the site of the spring that is said to have quenched the thirst of the deacon and preacher Saint Céneri and his disciple. Legend has it that its water has healing properties, including the ability to cure certain eye diseases. You can also see it from the Chapelle meadow on the riverbank.
