Church located in the middle of the medieval town, with a tall, modern silhouette dominated by an octagonal bell tower.
From the top of the medieval town, Saint-Julien church rises with its modern silhouette, dominated by its octagonal bell tower. Listed as a historic monument, it was built in 1923 using reinforced concrete. A revolutionary technique at the time, it eliminated the need for interior pillars. Inside, its centred plan, stained glass windows created by three master glassmakers (Gaudin, Loire, Barillet) and Art Deco mosaic decoration give it a neo-Byzantine style. But the church is in danger. Restoration work is regularly undertaken.

Effectivement, comme Petit Futé nous prévient, cette église surprend. Elle est en béton armé mais forme un ensemble homogène remarquable et ses mosaïques intérieures lui donnent un style néo-byzantin et la rend majestueuse.
