This is the largest cemetery in Savannah. The hotel is located in the heart of the city centre, close to the city centre. This beautiful and peaceful place of 40 ha was made famous in 1994 by the new of John Berend and then in 1997 by the film by Clint Eastwood Midnight in the garden of good and evil. The statue of the girl girl (Bird Girl, work by Sylvia Shaw Judson of 1936) was here before being transferred to the Telfair Museum (121 Barnard St, Savannah). However, magnificent monuments are to be discovered in this exceptional setting.

Peut-on qualifier un cimetière de beau ? Et bien oui, il est immense avec ces arbres ces tombes, son dédale de rue. La mousse qui pend aux chênes donnerait presque une ambiance lugubre.

Promenade étonnante : des tombes anciennes dont certaines en très bon état et fleuries, réparties dans un parc verdoyant et ... des visiteurs en voiture ou en segway ! Bref un endroit singulier à visiter absolument

Un très bel endroit à visiter absolument.l'atmosphère est reposante, pas triste du tout.Toutes ces tombes entourées par des chênes couverts de mousse espagnole, on a envie de s'y promener longtemps.On passe de la simple pierre tombale à la magnifique stèle... Par contre la statue de La jeune fille aux oiseaux ( Bird Girl) n'est plus dans le cimetière, elle a été transférée dans un musée.A ne pas rater la tombe de John Mercer et celle de la petite Gracie.
