WEARING OF ARCHES

Until the mid-twentieth century, the port of Cambrils was a simple beach along which boats came and went since the Middle Ages. Together with the ports of Salou and Tarragona, it was the starting point for the conquest of Mallorca at the beginning of the 13th century, and during the 18th and 19th centuries it became an important point for the movement of goods. Then, little by little, it lost its importance to the expansion of the port of Tarragona. Nowadays, it is a very active fishing port with a space reserved for boaters.
