It’s hard to pinpoint my favorite aspect of this luxurious wilderness camp. Everything was top-notch, from the sumptuous tented rooms to the food to the doting staff. Try to get one of the rooms along the bottom of the hill, which feel more secluded and have better views. The early morning views from bed, looking out across the Savannah, are unforgettable.

The location was excellent, providing close proximity to the migration crossing area, ensuring abundant animal sightings and action. However, the service left much to be desired, marked by frequent miscommunication and initial cold showers, which were quite uncomfortable. The food, leaning towards Western flavors, lacked the local touch we were hoping for. Additionally, our repeated requests to open the blinds at a specific time went consistently unfulfilled. While the location deserves a 5-star rating, our overall experience fell short when compared to our stay at the company lodge in Seronera, which was significantly more satisfying.

Una maravilla de sitio perdido en medio del Serengeti.
Por la noche se escuchan animales a distancia pero en ningún momento te sientes en peligro. El campamento vive en plena unión con la naturaleza y se respeta muchísimo a los animales.
Nos encantaron las dos noches que pasamos ahí en nuestra luna de miel.
Lo único, el desayuno y los lunch box de safaris muy ricos, pero los entrantes de las cenas no estaban a la altura del sitio.
Sino todo genial, nos encontramos xon jn elefante al llegar al campsite, veiamos jirafas desde nuestra tienda e incluso nos cruzamos con un hipopótamo mientras cenábamos en el restaurant.

While most of the staff was amazing, the people in charge are questionable. I had put my money in the safe and it was opened while I was at dinner and money was taken out and the safe was closed. When I ask about who would have the keys or the passwords to get into the safe, I was told it was a long process to go into. I said indulge me because I've had money stolen.
My guide from Kenya was there with my group as well and he said the same thing happened to him in 2019. Management said 2019 was a misunderstanding, I said is that what you call theft?
The head office in their final email basically dismissed that I had anything stolen. That nobody could have taken the money. And that I made the whole thing up. Stay at your own risk. I had a group there and out of six people four ended up with bed bugs.

Il nostro soggiorno al campo tendato Ole serai ad agosto del 2022 è stato stupendo. Il campo era bellissimo, organizzato in maniera perfetta in mezzo alla savana e ai suoi animali. Paesaggio mozzafiato, personale gentilissimo e cibo veramente ottimo. Consigliamo l'ole serai e in generale il safari nel serengeti a tutti. Non vediamo l'ora di ritornare.

Die nächste Station war das Ole Serai Luxury Camp in der Serengeti. Auf zwei Tage Zelt hatten wir uns gefreut, aber was wir vorfanden war ein Luxuszimmer mit Zeltwänden! Großes Doppelbett, Waschtisch, extra Dusche mit Warmwasser und extra Toilette (WC), wir kamen aus dem Staunen gar nicht mehr raus. Dort herrschten eine perfekte Organisation und ein Sicherheitskonzept mit Walkie Talkie, LED-Lampe und bei Dunkelheit Hol-und Bringeservice durch einen Ranger. Dazu gutes Essen, abendliches Lagerfeuer komplettierte die besondere Atmosphäre.

Nous avons passé 3 nuits à Ole Serai et nous avons adoré chaque seconde de notre séjour ! C'était notre premier safari africain et nous avions hâte de camper dans le Serengeti, et Ole Serai n'a pas déçu!
Le personnel était le point culminant! Tous ceux que nous avons rencontrés étaient incroyablement amicaux et attentionnés, en particulier Bennett, Masey et Gift. Tout le monde a fait des pieds et des mains pour s'assurer que nous profitions de notre séjour et avions tout ce dont nous avions besoin.
La tente était très spacieuse, y compris la salle de bain et la douche. Nous n'avons jamais eu de problèmes avec l'eau chaude (même en prenant des douches le matin et l'après-midi le même jour). My first glamping experience turned out to be the most interesting and memorable stay! I was blown away by how well designed and tasteful the camps were. Our room was so spacious and even had a luxurious warm shower - heaven!
Thank you to all the dedicated staff for the wonderful stay. Special mention to our Maasai guides who watched over the camp 24/7 to make sure we don't get grazed over by the wild animals ????

Nous avons passé 2 superbes nuits lors d'un voyage de groupe dans ce camp tout était parfait ! Les tentes luxueuses, le service aux petits soins et tout le confort alors que nous sommes en pleine savane, c'était un séjour incroyable !

Quel merveilleux endroit ! Quelle expérience ! Mon mari et moi-même avons passé deux nuits début octobre dans ce lodge magnifique. Nous étions avec un groupe et avions l’hôtel rien que pour nous. L’accueil et le personnel sont exceptionnel. Merci pour tout, pour l’apéro, pour les chansons le dernier soir, merci au massai qui nous a accompagné pour aller à la chambre…(heureusement car il y avait un hippopotame sur le chemin) c’était extraordinaire !! J’oublie de préciser que les chambres sont magnifiques je n’ai aucun reproche à faire.

We stayed at the end of our safari trip at this camp and were completely amazed!
The whole camp site is just wonderful and extremely luxurious. We felt right at home the moment we were greated and couldn't believe the standard of the rooms. Everything was very high end and there was nothing missing.
The whole staff was very welcoming and amazingly friendly, we enjoyed every minute at this camp site.
The food was very delicous as well and they even prepared a private dinner at night outside of the main restaurant guarded by the staff.
We will never forget this camp site and would highyl recommend this to everyone having this as the last stop of their safari as it can't get better than this!

Our tent was beautiful with a lovely view. We stayed 4 nights (9/1/22-9/4/22). You really felt in the wild here and at night, you could hear the wildebeest walking right around the tent. It was fun watching the wildebeest, zebras, and mongoose right from our private deck. It has a very intimate, wild feel to the place, yet it is luxurious. The lounge tent was spectacular in its safari decorations. The staff were wonderful, in particular, Brighton our butler. He taught us useful Swahili terms and made sure we were happy. Brighton set up private breakfast outside under a net tent that was so wonderful. One night they had the guests have dinner outside by a bonfire, really fun. The food was terrific. The only thing you should know is that they charge for drinks, including water ordered outside the 2 liters they give you every day in your tent. The drinks and water were inexpensive, and did not at all detract from our enjoyment. We loved staying here.

The interior is very well made, with a big, comfy bed and all amenities you'd find in a "normal" room.
5*, considering it's still a tent, even though a luxury option, so there are minor drawbacks like the shower. Like all other accommodations we stayed in during our trip to Tanzania mid August, it got very chilly at night and, consequently, chilly inside also.
The staff was very accommodating and helpful. They were particularly attentive in walking us from and to the tent at night, due to the camp being set in Serengeti and no fence to keep wildlife at bay. Having a tourist eaten by a lion could have probably been detrimental to the business, so we appreciated how adamant they were about us not walking alone at night.

Geweldige ervaring om hier te verblijven. Prachtig gelegen en veel wilde dieren. De buffels grazen naast de tent en de leeuwen maken een wandelingetje over het terrein. Het eten is lekker en goed maar geen wow factor. Maar dat doet aan niets af. Service van personeel meer dan vriendelijk en iedereen krijgt een personal waiter. De onze was Godlisten. Hé did a gread job. Het kwam ons aan niets te kort en hij stond altijd klaar. GEWELDIGE ERVARING.

Nous y avons passé 3 nuits dans le cadre de notre lune de miel. Le camp est niché dans le Serengeti juste à côté de la route de migration, un si beau cadre.
Notre "tente" était un palais !! Joliment meublé avec une belle salle de bain, impeccablement propre et les oreillers les plus confortables !! Nous avons particulièrement apprécié les prévisions météorologiques laissées avec des chocolats au coucher chaque soir avec l'aimable autorisation de Johari.
Nous avons vraiment apprécié les boissons au bar avant le dîner chaque soir, et waouh la nourriture !! Vraiment une belle variété et après que le voyagiste m'ait accidentellement réservé pour le voyage en tant que végétalien et que le camp m'ait soigneusement pris en charge le premier jour jusqu'à ce que je comprenne ce qui s'était passé, je suis convaincu qu'ils prennent les régimes au sérieux! Les déjeuners emballés pour le safari chaque jour étaient délicieux.
Être si près de la faune a été une expérience unique (le personnel qui gardait le camp a fait un travail fantastique, je me sentais tellement en sécurité, même en entendant les lions la nuit).
Mais le clou de notre séjour devait être le personnel. Tous incroyablement chaleureux et accueillants, mais en particulier grâce à Benard, Tharmo, Everson et Gift. Je ne vous spoilerai pas, mais votre surprise lors de la dernière nuit a été inoubliable et restera avec nous pour le reste de nos vies.
À tous ceux qui souhaitent réserver un séjour dans le Serengeti, je recommande sans réserve ici.
