Located 25 km from Dar, on the new asphalt road towards Bagamoyo, is Kunduchi, a modern town of about 75,000 inhabitants where people come mainly to visit its few historical ruins and its beaches, including Jangwani Beach. A small paradise of sand and water, facing a few tropical islands surrounded by beautiful seabed. The ruins of Kunduchi, with a 16th century mosque and 18th century tombs, are marked by engraved obelisks. A day trip from Dar es Salaam can be planned or you can sleep there to enjoy the beach for a while.
