HOUSE OF THE COUNTS OF PERCH
Louis XIII-style house dating from the century, with fine architectural ornamentation in Mortagne-au-Perche.
Built by the Counts of Perche, this 17th century Louis XIII-style house replaced the seigniorial residence built in the 12th century. Featuring a small inner courtyard, a rampart tower, an 18th century wrought-iron balcony and a portal with "bossage" ornamental projections, the building has two wings: the left is built of rubble stone, the right of ashlar. The roof and facade have been protected since 1975.
