SAINT-VIGOR CHURCH
Church decorated with bright colors and liturgical inscriptions by Abbé Victor Paysant
Abbé Victor Paysant was appointed parish priest of Ménil-Gondouin in 1873, at a time when the church was still under construction. He decorated it with bright colors and liturgical inscriptions to make it "the living, speaking church of Ménil-Gondouin". After his death, the new abbot had the paintings removed. It was the determination of the former mayor and a handful of volunteers that restored the church to its former glory. Now closed, it is necessary to book a visit by telephone or e-mail.
