The drop in tourism has not been favorable for this hotel, which is struggling to maintain the exterior as well as the interior of this huge building. It is true that Cyclone Idai, which affected the region in March 2019, did not help. The rooms are standard, but spacious. They have fireplaces and balconies. The restaurant's cuisine is unremarkable, but at least it has the merit of being there. It is also possible to camp there.
FROG AND FERN COTTAGES
Read moreFrog and Fern is one of the most pleasant and charming accommodations in the area. It is an excellent base for exploring the mountains. It has five fully-equipped cabins, each of which sleeps between 2 and 7 people. The interior is a delightful blend of wood and stone. The walls are decorated with paintings by Dee, one of the owners, who is a talented naturalist painter. For the campers, the establishment has pitches with sanitary facilities, hot water, barbecue, all in a beautiful garden with trees.
