The second largest park in the city, Sloan's Lake Park is dominated by a large central lake that makes it a favorite place to observe the sunset with the backdrop of the Rocky Mountains in the distance and the Denver skyline. The park welcomes sports fields, nautical activities, hiking trails, picnic areas and children's playgrounds. In July, don't miss the Colorado Dragon Boat Festival, a two-day festival of races on the Chinese Dragon Boat Lake.
