The United States Mint is the organization that produces and puts into circulation the US coins. There are currently 6 factories in the country, including the Denver Mint, which opened in 1863, just after the Rockies rush began. Today, Denver's workshop mainly produces circulation currency as well as commemorative coins and it is possible to visit the factory free of charge by joining one of the tours organized from Monday to Thursday.
Please note that it is mandatory to appear on the site 30 minutes before the start of the visit.

Bon moyen d’approcher la fabrication des monnaies. Lieu très sécurisé, consignes précises à respecter, billet à récupérer le matin.
Nombreuses expos sur la monnaie, l’épargne, les taux d’intérêts...
