From a line of winegrowers rooted in Eguisheim since 1850, Christian Beyer continues the family tradition of excellence with panache. Trained at the prestigious Schloss Johannisberg estate in the Rheingau, he now orchestrates the 17-hectare Domaine Émile Beyer, which has been Ecocert-certified organic since 2014. His elegant, expressive cuvées are appreciated far beyond France's borders. The Revue du Vin de France awarded a double coup de cœur to the Riesling Grand Cru Pfersigberg and the Pinot Gris Hohrain. We had such a great experience here. We didn't get a tour with wine barrels or so, but we had a great tasting with equally interesting information about the grapes, wines, places where the grapes grow, the flavors, the process of making wine etc. Our host was so lovely and she knew so much, she really took the time explaining everything and choosing wines which we were more to our liking. We would surely recommend this place and drink these wines at any good restaurant in Colmar!
