On the slopes of Eguisheim, the Baur family has been cultivating a winegrowing heritage of patience, precision and passion for generations. With 17 hectares of organic vines since 2011, Armand and his son Arnaud, an oenologist, shape a mosaic of terroirs, from the Brand, Eichberg and Pfersigberg Grands Crus to the Holzweg, Fronenberg and alluvial soils of the Harth. Having looked at their range of wines online, I chose this as our first stop on our visit to Eguisheim. Sadly it did not live up to our expectations. While the wines were perfectly good for the price, we certainly did not feel welcomed by the woman serving us. She seemed annoyed. Maybe just having a bad day. I bought a couple bottles of wine, but we left with a bad impression. The wine is not good enough for me to want to go back.

Jeg vil gerne takke familien Charles Baur for fantastiske dejlige besøg, minimum 25 gange, en oplevelse hver gang. I hjalp os økonomisk en gang hvor vores bil blev ødelagt og brudt op, hvor alt var væk, det glemmer vi aldrig, fantastisk, du Kirsten hentede 800 euro så vi kunne komme hjem, tusind tak. Kan kun anbefale stedet på det kraftigstede, det er kun alderen der sætter mine begrænsninger. Knus til hele familien. Mange hilsener fra Kirsten og Jens Arne Thomsen fra Danmark.
