The Cathedral of St. John is one of the largest religious buildings in the country with its 115 meters long and 62 meters wide
St. John's Cathedral is not only one of the most important medieval churches in the Netherlands, but also one of the largest religious buildings in the country, measuring 115 meters long and 62 meters wide. It was built in the Romanesque style between 1280 and 1312, but its construction continued until the mid-17th century. It was never completely finished. Reliefs tell episodes of the life of Jesus. A carillon rings every Wednesday from 11:30 to 12:30. In the summer you can climb to the top of the bell tower.
