BONNE ANSE BAY

La Palmyre is first and foremost a preserved natural environment, between sea and forest. And if the seaside resort is renowned for its zoo - one of the most visited tourist sites in the department - it is also known for its Bonne Anse bay. This natural site, shaped by man and his activities, is bordered by the port and the Coubre lighthouse. It's a well-known spot for kitesurfing and windsurfing. Already classified as a protected site, the bay - which is constantly evolving - could soon become a national nature reserve.
