This 12-meter-high Statue of Liberty is an exact copy of the original, created by Auguste Bartholdi.
It is the exact copy of the original statue, created by Auguste Bartholdi in 1886, which watches over the entrance to the New York harbor. Reaching a height of 12 meters, it was inaugurated on July 4, 2004 on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the sculptor's birth. The Alsatian version of "Miss Liberty" weighs 8 tons of resin and modeling clay tinted in the mass of the same green-gray patina as the original version on a metal structure of Eiffel type. Its majestic toga has exactly one thousand folds. The highlight of the show is its night lighting.

hommage à Auguste Bartholdi située sur un rond-point à l'entrée de la ville, la réplique de la statue de liberté est très magnifique.

Cette statue surprend toujours. Il y a souvent des touristes qui s'arrêtent pour la prendre en photo alors qu'elle est situé dans un endroit insolite, un rond-point dans une zone commerciale. Mais c'est une belle façon originale d'accueillir les automobilistes et d'aménager l'espace sur un grand axe. Elle rappelle que Bartholdi est né à Colmar et incite à en savoir plus, en allant visiter son musée.

Belle réplique de la statue de la liberté qui se trouve à New-york. En hommage à Bartoldi cette statut devrait trouver à un bien meilleur endroit que sur un rond-point dans une zone industrielle sans charme. L’œuvre est reproduite à partir du modèle original en terre cuite de 1,20 mètres dit "du Comité", exposé à Colmar dans la maison natale d’Auguste Bartholdi, actuel musée, et agrandi grâce au pantographe tridimensionnel.

Réplique "miniature" de la statue de New-York située sur un rond-point à l'entrée de la ville. Passage obligé mais il faut être prudent car la circulation est bien présente et empêche d'en profiter sereinement. Se garer est plus judicieux pour l'admirer !

réplique (miniature) de la statue de New York en hommage à Bartholdi natif de la ville. mais quelle idée de l'avoir placée ici sur un rond point au milieu d'une zone commerciale. et après on s'étonne qu'il y ait des accidents...
