House built by the architect Albert Schmidt, evoking the golden age of the merchants and the ease of the merchant bourgeoisie

A monument that won't leave you speechless! Built in 1609 for a wealthy merchant, Colmar's Maison des Têtes lives up to its name: 111 grimacing, grotesque or expressive faces enliven its sculpted facade. A Renaissance masterpiece by Albert Schmidt, it embodies the opulence of Colmar as a merchant town at its height. In 1902, Auguste Bartholdi added the finishing touch: the Tonnelier proudly sits atop the gable. Once a wine exchange, this three-storey building is an architectural gem... to be explored with your nose in the air!

Colmarban járva elmentünk a hotel mellett, ami egészen különleges építészeti megoldás, talán a szecesszióhoz hasonlít. Csak kívülről láttuk a helyet, de így is nagyon szép volt. Az egész utcának és a környéknek is szuper hangulata van.

Super endroit dans le centre-ville de Colmar, chambre agréable tout confort propre et chaleureuse.
Le service est orienté client, sourire et politesse. Le petit-déjeuner je dirais, gastronomique servi par deux dames très sympathique et gentil, cela vaut le détour..

Wir haben das günstigere Restaueant besucht. Wunderschön elsässisch, mit viel gemütlichem Holzmobiliar ausgestattet. Mittagsmenu war gut bis auf das "Os"....das war nur ein grosser Knochen mit Füllung.

Precioso Relais & Chateaux en el corazón de Colmar. Edificio histórico renacentista con una fachada decorada con 111 mascarones. La habitación era amplia, cómoda, luminosa y limpia. Servicio impecable. Desayuno generoso y muy rico. Ubicación perfecta para recorrer el centro histórico de Colmar. Recomendable 100%.
