A Venetian Renaissance building that stands out from the typical Alsatian architecture in Colmar.
Little Venice is not called like that for nothing. This astonishing (and surprising here!) building of Venetian Renaissance style deserves to be stopped there; it is different from the typically Alsatian architecture of the other monuments of Colmar. Built in 1608 by the architect Albert Schmidt, it was destroyed in the 19th century and rebuilt identically. Its facade and its roof are classified as historical monuments. Its gallery of arcades is simply sublime.

Improbable !
