AVENUE D'ALSACE

Decoration store
5/5
2 reviews

Since 2009, Caroline Lux has been combining creativity and quality to make household linen and accessories that bring Alsatian iconography up to date. Made exclusively in France, her collections of household linen (aprons, potholders, tea towels, bibs), table linen and toilet linen offer light and airy patterns in pastel tones. They come in a range of seasonal designs to modernise storks, pretzels and Alsatian headdresses. Baby linen also offers beautiful graphic patterns and soft colours. With an eye for detail, this former textile engineer works mainly with local and French companies. The fabrics are thus printed in Mulhouse and manufactured in the Vosges. You will also find many fashionable accessories (jewellery, bags, plaids, t-shirts) at reasonable prices for original gifts. Caroline Lux shares her know-how and passion in her newly installed shop and workshop. So do not hesitate to push the door of Avenue d'Alsace for original and creative gift ideas.

WECKERLÉ GILBERT

Architect and interior designer

Notice to lovers of furniture and objects that are really not ordinary: a visit to Gilbert Weckerlé's house is a must! Both a timeless furniture designer and a stylist designer, this hypercreative Colmarien designs interior fittings for individuals and professionals. His brand is known all over the world thanks to his creations that furnish prestigious interiors: the famous Café Pouchkine in Moscow for example, and, more locally, the Wistub Brenner in Colmar. Gilbert Weckerlé exhibits his collections in a vast space designed as a house that can be discovered through rooms, alcoves and an interior courtyard full of beautiful surprises. At the bend of a fireplace or a fountain, we discover furniture that shakes up existing styles (Directory, Empire, Return from Egypt...) to offer a welcome alternative to copying old and contemporary furniture. Cozy sofas and armchairs, generous sideboards, coffee tables, shelves and inventive bookcases... With, as a common thread, a love of careful work. The whole is dotted with useful and/or decorative objects: staggered suspensions, neoclassical dishes and glassware, plaids and cushions, fragrant candles and candle holders.... A whole "Prévert-style inventory" that definitely has its charm!
