DUE CUORI
Read moreA fine family-run restaurant created by a brother and his two sisters, offering fine local Biel cuisine with a twist. It is affiliated with the Slow Food movement, which favors short circuits. The zucchini flowers served with a parmesan crème brûlée are well worth the detour! The meat is very well cooked. Good wines too. At the back of the restaurant, you can admire the old ovens covered with 18th-century earthenware tiles. Trendy, uncluttered decor, meticulous presentation and service, and a terrace under the arcades when the weather's mild.
BARACCA
Read moreOne of the city's historic restaurants, Baracca offers typical Biella dishes in a simple, familiar setting, where yellow dominates. The dishes on offer change according to the day and the season, but certain classics are always on the menu, such as the risotto, which is a must, but also the bagna cauda, or the braised beef(brasato) cooked slowly in Barolo wine. A fine list of Piedmont wines, too. Service is a little slow, but the value for money is well worth the detour.
