Padua's historic theater, inaugurated in 1751 as Teatro Nuovo, was built on the initiative of the local aristocracy, who wished to endow the city with a prestigious theater. Renamed Teatro Verdi after its restoration in the 19th century, it has recently been restored to its former glory thanks to a meticulous renovation that highlights its elegant façade and refined interior. It offers a rich program of opera, classical and contemporary theater, and ballet. Book in advance for an unforgettable evening.
