Travel and transport agencies El Paredón

Opened in 2012, this social enterprise offers a wide variety of excursions, from turtle releases and cooking classes with families to mangrove tours and bracelet weaving. In addition to working with locals, La Choza Chula funds several educational programs, such as the opening of the community's first library in 2014. The icing on the cake: its store features yoga and beach bags made in El Paredon, and kimonos made in Atitlán by a women's cooperative.
