BAZAR

Of course if you've ever been to the bazaars of Bishkek or Osh, this one will seem quite modest. But it is still worth a visit for the textile part, which made its reputation. It stretches all along the railway, opposite the Tsoum department store. There are of course a lot of cheap clothes made in China, but if you browse a little you will also find more typical Kyrgyz articles, in felt or leather of good quality. As in all bazaars, you will have to negotiate prices boldly.
