In 2006, the Bolhão market was classified as a historic monument. After 4 years of renovation, it finally reopened in 2022. Strolling through the stalls of fresh produce and colorful stands is one of the great pleasures of a stay in Porto. Don't hesitate to stop and taste a delicious pastel de nata or have a glass of vinho verde in one of the bars, while tucking into cod acras or cold meats. Near the Bolhão market is the Santa Catarina shopping street, with its many boutiques, restaurants and cafés.

Annoncé comme super notamment en relation avec les vendeurs n'est pas ce que j'ai eu comme sensation. Effectivement il y a des touristes mais les commerçants ne sont pas plus aimables qu'ailleurs voire moins. Pour y manger la patronne ? du restau central ne l'est pas vraiment.
C'est mieux d'y faire un tour et de déguster à l'extérieur notamment pour un verre de vin, sympa mais le tarif l'est moins.
