Lighthouse built in 1886, known as Farolim do Molhe de Felgueiras, in Porto.
The Felgueiras lighthouse was built in 1886 after Reinaldo Oudinot built the first pier at the mouth of the Douro in 1790, under royal decree. It is also known as Farolim do Molhe de Felgueiras, in reference to the pier on which it was built. Ten metres high, it has a hexagonal granite tower, a balcony and red lanterns. It is famous for the beautiful pictures that can be taken from it. Indeed, its position so close to the ocean means that it gets hit by the waves when the wind is strong.
