Casa da Mariquinhas is one of the city's oldest fado houses, and has seen some of the biggest names in the genre pass through its doors. Founded in 1968, it reopened its doors in 2011. You'll find it opposite the Arco de Santana, at the foot of the cathedral. Fado singers declaim their words accompanied by a group of musicians, without microphones, in an intimate setting that transports us. It's a pleasant place to have a drink, and a good meal too. You'll have a wonderful evening, accompanied by all the charm of Portuguese tradition.
