A magnificent address for a luxurious stay on the banks of the Douro. The 27 rooms and 20 suites at the Torel Avantgarde are superb, spacious and fitted with top-quality bedding... Some have balconies and splendid river views. They are named in tribute to an avant-garde artist (Pessoa, Nina Simone, Oscar Wilde, Francis Bacon, Simone de Beauvoir...) and decorated according to their artistic vision. The Digby bar-restaurant serves excellent traditional and gourmet cuisine. Delicious breakfast and attentive staff.

Ein außergewöhnliches Hotel mit viel charm super freundlichem Personal gutem Essen und eine wunderschöne Aussicht auf Porto, man kann alles gut zu Fuß erreichen es gibt aber auch gute Anbindung mit den Öffentlichen. Der Whirlpool lädt zum Verweilen ein, das Frühstück ist abwechslungsreich und sehr lecker. Die Betten sind sehr bequem
