Housed in a tower overlooking the Douro, but a little out of the way, the hotel is extremely comfortable. Rooms are spacious, with superb views from the 16th floor upwards, and are equipped with gadgets such as a flat-screen TV built into the bathroom mirror. The marble bathrooms have underfloor heating. The terrace is perfect for brunch or an evening drink. The Porto Palace boasts several restaurants, including the renowned Salsa and Loureiro.
